Debrah Jones ( mother) words can't explain how much I appreciate this beautiful lady for raising me to be the intelligent woman that I am. My mom rest her soul she prepared me all the way up into the day she went home to be with God how to be responsible. She always provided me with the things I needed and gave me most of my wants. She was second to my everything and she encourage, motivation, love and often told me how beautiful I was and never let anyone tell me anything different. She was the best mom ever and I'm so thankful that God blessed me to be apart of her life.
Bessie Jones ( gram) she help contribute to raising me as well and I'm grateful to her for assisting my mother. My gram always would help my mother where ever she was lacking. Through the years my gram would say always treat your mom and respect her no matter what because when she is gone that's it. No one else is going to treat you like your mom will. So true and that's something that always stayed with me being since I'm grown that is so true.
Rachel Jones ( great granny) this was my super woman as I call her and everyone else call her mama. Mama was the head of our family and she surely is miss and she kept our family together. Every weekend I look forward to going to my granny's house. She made me feel so special she would let me lay on her as we watch t.v. Granny would always know how to make you feel loved. She had a great impact on my life she straighten everybody out whenever there was a problem we knew mama Rachel had a solution to it.
Dorothy Ford ( auntie ) is a great, loving, caring and most of all honest. I love this lady like no other she have so much patience and can endure and keep a secret at best. I can go to my aunt and tell her anything before she became ill. This lady is wonderful and a very great cook. She reminded me that I'm blessed and don't let anyone distract you from doing whats right. Once my mother deceased she was second to her if I needed anything and she could provide it for me she would do so.
Evette Jones( best friend) been knowing her since we were little girls, our moms were actually best of friends and she has been my friend for over 20 years. I love her like she is my sister. There's absolutely nothing we wouldn't do for each other. She has truly been a very good friend to me and there isn't many people you can say that about. My friend is there to listen to me, cry with me and to up lift me anytime I need encouragement. She has inspire me to always keep trying and never give up. When I told her my plans about opening my business, she was just over whelmed with excitement and ideas she immediately told me I knew you were going to do something with your self because, I have that ambition about myself and stood by me every minute to see me fulfill my dream.
Each and every last one of these people played outstanding roles in my life and they all contributed to making me the person that I'am today. I love them all and they have showed me at some point in time there affection of concern, love, support, and motivation. I truly never would have made it without them.
Hi Jamila, I enjoyed reading your post. How you feel about your mom is how I feel about my grandmother. However, I am very thankful to have my mom still living. I know there are a lot people who cannot say that and you only get one mother. Our relationship has gotten stronger over the years. It may not be perfect but I am glad to have a relationship with her period, as I said in my blog. Everything happens for a reason. I admire your strength and the passion you displayed in this blog.

I can't tell you how blessed you are to have wonderful family members and a great friend to give you all of the love and nurturing you deserve. I wish I would have had that upbringing. However, I know God has always had a perfect plan for me, and the childhood I had led me to be the person I am today!

Thanks Susan and Brandee you all just don't know my life has been a journey and adventure...kml but I still blessed through it all and and yes those people has help me to start off this Super woman i have become. But I give all the Credit to God for allowing all of them to be a blessing to my life.
ReplyDeleteJamila your mom really told you the right things to do. My mom would tell me some of the same things. She would tell me baby don’t you let nothing stop you from your dream. And don’t let know one bring you down you can be what ever you want to be just keep the faith and stand strong, and always believe. I am not going to lie there is times, I wanted to give up put, my mom always told me never give up. Keep going and the lord will see you through. I know we had some strong support from are families. I just which that their were more like are parents and us that would step up to the plate.

ReplyDeleteI agree that parents and grandparents have an influence on a child's development. These people are in the child' microsystem. Furthermore, teachers and other members of the child's macrosystem also influence development. Therefore, I can see how you appreciate and understand how these people have affected your life.
