  1. Hi Jamila, awesome quotes! I can't pick a favorite! LOL I love what Pres Clinton said about strength and widsom...totally awesome! And Sandy Escobido's gave me chils! We have such a big impact on the children and I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of that.

  2. Yes Brandee you are right, teachers’ are the key to good childcare. Moreover, yes people have under valued teachers’ and the city leaders have to. They have cut teachers hours and have laid off thousands of employees. It is not right. Teacher’s jobs are hard, and they should get paid more. Teachers and the teachers’ assistants are people to. Nevertheless, just never give up.

  6. Jamila,

I particularly liked the quote " We as professionals in the early childhood field have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better" because it's so true. If we are not shaping their lives for the better, then there is no point in being in this field. I strive to achieve this daily through different strategies such as motivation, stability, and emotional support.

  7. Hello, Jamila
I feel the same as Susan Bredekeng quote that “Children benefit most from teachers who have the skills, knowledge, and judgment to make good decisions and are given the opportunity to use them” because I try to use the skills and knowledge that I learn to better help my children in my classroom to learn more.
I like Louis Derman Spark quote that “His passion was that children were taught in an environment that truly natured their ability to develop and grow” which feel that this is a true quote.

  8. First of all let me start off by saying I love your Blog. I was really having a rough time this year because I have never had to have one. But I think it's outrageous. I really want to go back and re-style mine so that I can communicate with others. I really like Bill Clinton's Comment on "Strength and Wisdom" Not being opposing values. I really think it takes much wisdom to manage strength. Dr. James Dobson, (focus on the family) Has a great book that is called "The Strong Willed Child". Teaching us not to Crush there Spirit, however to re-direct.
