Testing For Intelligence

I think that the determination of what a child has learned shouldn't be base on a assessesment of a test. When they mandated the No Child Left Behind Act, I thought that was the worse thing they could have ever done. Children are different and every child doesn't learn the same way. This act made it harder in my opinion for teachers to teach. At the school I use to work at, it was all about MCT and thats what we had to prep the kids for constantly.This act purpose to just being able to just come up with your own form of testing to fit each child needs change teachers form of thinking and ways to teach their students. The information is already pretty much given to you and we would have to drill the students until they learned almost everything that wouldn't be given the test. In other countries such as China has the longest history of tests and examination  in the world. Today tests and examination are still the tools to assess educational outcome in China, and the scores of various tests are still used in many places as the sole determinant factors for promoting students into higher level of education or even grades. Based on such a way in educational assessment it is not surprised at what the educational system supplies would not necessarily meet the demand of labor markets.

Consequences of Stressor

The Stressor in which I choose was Disease

I choose this topic because their are so many diseases that has taking over and is causing so many of people to become ill. Cancer is one of the main diseases that has attacked my family and has become the second -leading cause of death in the United States. But survial rates are improving for many types of cancer, thanks to improvements in cancer screening and cancer treatment. Cancer refers to anyone of larger number of diseases characterized by the development of abnormal cells that divide uncontrollably and have the abiltity to infiltrate amd destroy normal body tissue. Cancer also has the abiltiyty to spread throug out your body. This disease just has taken over this world and my grandmother is fighting with this today and its such a stressor until it's stressing us out as a family and I have lost other family members due to this illness.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

I choose this topic because, I have a very close friend who lost her daughter to this syndrome and this was very emotional and hard to understand. A lack of answers is a part a what makes sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) frightening Sids is the leading cause among infants 1month to 1 year old, and claims the lives of about 2,500 each year in the United States. It remains unpredictable despite the years of research. Even so, the risk of SIDS can greatly reduced. First and foremost, infants younger than 1 year should be placed on their backs to sleep never faced down on their stomach. I just really took interested in this topic because of my past experiences and it is a serious and painful situation.

Child Birth

My own personal birth experience was wonderful. I didn't have any difficulties and my doctor and nurses was extremely nice. I didn't want to leave the hospital..lol but I was very thankful for not having any complications. My whole entire pregnancy was wonderful never had morning sickness and my doctor appointments was good as well. My friends always say my next pregnancy is going to be bad because, everything went so well with my first. I also had to opportunity to see one of my cousin give birth and oh was that an experience I will never ever forget and emotional. I didn't cry when I gave birth but to actually see it all and I mean ALL,WAS BREATH TAKING. Women go through a lot giving birth and it can be dangerous but its such a beautiful blessing and feeling to know you have given birth to something so precious as a child.

I think that in education especially early childhood education these three really are important to me because,
children often learn how to trust adults especially the ones that truly have their interest in their hearts.
As educators children look up to us and they can sense and feel when their teacher really appreciate their presence. Also we have to present a creative and warm environment for our children as well as teach them the developmental skills they are so eagerly. We are the voices for these children especially the ones with special needs I really want to develop some kind of program for children with special needs I'm actually in the process of getting my center equip so I can be able to accept some children with special needs we really have to advocate for these type of children and families because they need as much support that they can receive because they are very special and I just want to be a great help to them.

Ensuring the Well-Being of Our Children and Families

In chapter three, I found this to be very important because ensuring the well being of the children in which you service is important, mainly because if the children are secured they can give us more and be more attentive to whats they are learning and their minds won't be distracted. Since I have be in this field I have learn that children demonstrate what they are feeling through their actions and they want just come right out and say it but if you truly pay attention to your students you will know if something is different about each and every child you teach.

Debrah Jones ( mother) words can't explain how much I appreciate this beautiful lady for raising me to be the intelligent woman that I am. My mom rest her soul she prepared me all the way up into the day she went home to be with God how to be responsible. She always provided me with the things I needed and gave me most of my wants. She was second to my everything and she encourage, motivation, love and often told me how beautiful I was and never let anyone tell me anything different. She was the best mom ever and I'm so thankful that God blessed me to be apart of her life.

Bessie Jones ( gram) she help contribute to raising me as well and I'm grateful to her for assisting my mother. My gram always would help my mother where ever she was lacking. Through the years my gram would say always treat your mom and respect her no matter what because when she is gone that's it. No one else is going to treat you like your mom will. So true and that's something that always stayed with me being since I'm grown that is so true.

Rachel Jones ( great granny) this was my super woman as I call her and everyone else call her mama. Mama was the head of our family and she surely is miss and she kept our family together. Every weekend I look forward to going to my granny's house. She made me feel so special she would let me lay on her as we watch t.v. Granny would always know how to make you feel loved. She had a great impact on my life she straighten everybody out whenever there was a problem we knew mama Rachel had a solution to it.

Dorothy Ford ( auntie ) is a great, loving, caring and most of all honest. I love this lady like no other she have so much patience and can endure and keep a secret at best. I can go to my aunt and tell her anything before she became ill. This lady is wonderful and a very great cook. She reminded me that I'm blessed and don't let anyone distract you from doing whats right. Once my mother deceased she was second to her if I needed anything and she could provide it for me she would do so.

Evette Jones( best friend)  been knowing her since we were little girls, our moms were actually best of friends and she has been my friend for over 20 years. I love her like she is my sister. There's absolutely nothing we wouldn't do for each other. She has truly been a very good friend to me and there isn't many people you can say that about. My friend is there to listen to me, cry with me and to up lift me anytime I need encouragement. She has inspire me to always keep trying and never give up. When I told her my plans about opening my business, she was just over whelmed with excitement and ideas she immediately told me I knew you were going to do something with your self because, I have that ambition about myself and stood by me every minute to see me fulfill my dream.


Each and every last one of these people played outstanding roles in my life and they all contributed to making me the person that I'am today. I love them all and they have showed me at some point in time there affection of concern, love, support, and motivation. I truly never would have made it without them.

Brown Bear Children Book

 One of my favorite children story book is brown bear. I like this children book, because for one my daughter absolutely loves it and it has become my children favorite book in my classroom. This book allows the children to learn how to distinquish the different kinds of animals, rhyming, and learning their colors.
